Hello,
I would like to share with you some good news which were suggested to me by webzine publishers and art curator.

First of all, the publishers of The Three Wise Monkeys, a webzine dedicated and made by expats living in Korea (www.thethreewisemonkeys.com) have partnered with VS Center of Photography to feature photographs taken by students upon completion of a course (April or May 2010)
This means a great chance to be published in one of the independent webzine that shakes boundaries in Seoul

Secondly, BERLIN Lounge in Itaewon asked me to organize a group exhibition of students who would finish a course by the end of April or May 2010
It means that after one month learning all technical and creative aspects of photography, you will have an exhibition organized entirely by VS Center of Photography and BERLIN.

Berlin lounge kindly offered to give us their space to display your work for about 3 weeks, to offer catering for the opening night (wine, cheese and other delicious tapas).
VS Center of Photography will help you to select your best images, get them printed on Archive quality paper and framed at an art shop. We will also print invitation cards together to promote and announce this group exhibition in numerous English newspapers and magazines (Groove, 10 magazine, Eloquence, Seoul)

The only thing you have to do is SHOOT and SHOOT more during our classes and workshop(s).

Third good news; I have postponed the first class of April to next week. It means you still have time to register and pay tuition fee before Monday April 12th (extended period) to enjoy 20% discount (50,000 discount!) for any course you decide to take.

WORKSHOPS Series: 'FASHION' & PORTRAIT'

Dear 'students',
June 2007 photography course is coming to an end and I would like to thank you all for your attendance and hope you learned new useful 'on location' techniques with both Giorgia and myself (in studio).

After high demands and interests in 'portrait' and/or 'fashion' photography from our students, I decided to organize a series of WORKSHOPS focusing on 'portrait/fashion in studio' (for some of you who are staying in Seoul during July & August 2007)

1. Saturday June 30th, 2007 from 2pm to 6:15pm
FASHION in STUDIO (with PROFESSIONAL model and stylist/make-up artist)
Cost: 175,000 won
*Registrations are still open until Thursday June 28th - 6pm
Workshop can be followed by a casual drink/dinner if desired – *not included in the tuition fee

2. Saturday July 14th, 2007 from 2pm to 6:15pm
PORTRAIT in STUDIO (with Portrait Model and make-up artist)
Cost: 150,000 won
*Registrations are open until July 9th

3. Saturday Aug. 4th, 2007 from 2pm to 6:15pm
NUDE in STUDIO (with PRO nude model and make-up artist)
Cost: 190,000 won
*Registrations are open until July 31st

Learn & Practice your own studio lightings & techniques and shoot with a professional model
*(with make-up artist, eventually a fashion stylist for FASHION WORKSHOP)
*Each student will have a 20 to 30 min. slot on his own to create his/her own image! (depending on total number of student - max. 6/7 students)

It is advised to bring samples of desired lighting and creative references (samples of lightings, styles)

Costs: 175,000 won (with stylist, make-up and pro model included) for FASHION session
or 150,000 won (with make-up and portrait model included) for PORTRAIT session
or 190,000 won (with professional nude model and make-up artist) for NUDE session

*schedules and workshops are subject of availability of stylist, make-up artist and pro model and can be cancelled in case of not reaching the min. amount of students (3 min. / 7 max.)

We are also happy to inform you that we are renting our Studio 504 on a full day basis (or half day) and VSP students are entitled a 30% discount from regular prices.
This discount applies ONLY for non commercial works (to help you to practice what we learned during classes) and includes usage of flash lights, light meter and studio accessories (stands, tripods, filters, white backdrop) which are usually NOT included for regular rentals.
*in case of any damages caused during your shooting, you are solely responsible for expenses in case of eventual repairs (if necessary).

Half day (4 hours) : 60,000 won
Full day (8 hours) : 100,000 won

Sept./Oct. schedule (level 2 - intermediate)

THURSDAY morning course (level 2 - intermediate) experienced photographers or for students who completed level 1: 09/21 - 09/28 - Chuseok holiday - 10/12 - 10/19
from 10am to 12pm

*Intermediate course will focus more on practical aspect with 2 sessions in VODA studio (a professional studio located in Apkujeong) where you will get your hands on PRO flashes and take photos in studio.
I recommend this course if you wish to continue after completing level 1 or if you have good knowledge of photography and wish to focus on the practical and esthetical part of photography.
Also COMPOSITION and THEME ORIENTED photography along with professional advices to work in the business will be taught.

OCTOBER 2006: OPENING of TUESDAY CLASSES (level 2 - intermediate)
