Introductory Photography Courses: Mixed course for beginners to build a good foundation about the basics of photography (film and/or digital cameras)

Topics covered will include:
- choosing a camera model, selecting the right lens, brand reviews
- technical aspects: aperture, shutter speed, ISO
- explore different functions of film/digital cameras
- exposure control, composition
- lenses, filters, bracketing

1. Monday & Wednesday, January 12th & 14th (10am ~ 12pm)
+ one Saturday intensive practice workshop Saturday, January 17th (2pm-6pm)

Intro to Digital Photography & Photoshop:
A course focusing mostly on digital imagery, basic retouching, photoshop functions and its unlimited possibilities

- Basics of Photoshop
- Techniques for digital photography
- Advices for digital files and archives
- Create a web presence (Flickr, Facebook, etc)

4. Monday & Wednesday, January 19th & 21st (10am ~ 12pm)

Travel Journalism/ Shoot and Critique: Head out to the streets and put your skills to the test! Learn to see through a different set of eyes!

Here you will learn how to confidently take photos of the surroundings around you. You will learn techniques to produce truthful, objective, and candid photographs of the people, places and things that surround you!

- Learn to create a visual story
- Critique sessions for images
- Understand composition and editing techniques

6. Monday & Wednesday, January 26th & 28th (10am ~ 12pm)

REGULAR PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES & INTENSIVE WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

3. Digital Photography - Morning course

- Formats, CCD, resolution, sensors
- Advanced techniques for digital photography

Tuition: 250,000 won for each course *pay before November 25th for early birds discount: 200,000 won (20% discount)

§ Practice and experience working with live model, create your own lighting.
§ Put in practice what you learned during classes or fine tune and put in action what you read in books!
§ Share knowledge with other fellow students and get immerged in real situations!

SATURDAY, December 13th: REPORTAGE/DOCUMENTARY techniques – in Seoul (outdoor)
- Techniques adapted to reportage/travel photography
- White balance control
- How to take good street portraits/people in difficult lightings (fill in flash)
- Practice of reportage techniques along with professional assignment for Travel magazines
Workshop only: 170,000 won (with Vincent Sung & Angela Cerci)
*can be chosen as one workshop for regular BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY course 1 or 2

SATURDAY, December 20th: PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY (location/studio)
Learn the art of portrait photography with live model

- Soft lighting techniques appropriate for portrait (bouncing flashes)
- Special effects with color filters
- Creative approaches

Workshop only: 170,000 won (cost cover professional model - please give her photos at the end of the session for her time)

*can be chosen as one workshop for regular BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY course 1 or 2
