Very good news for (future) photography students (April/May 2010)

Hello,
I would like to share with you some good news which were suggested to me by webzine publishers and art curator.

First of all, the publishers of The Three Wise Monkeys, a webzine dedicated and made by expats living in Korea (www.thethreewisemonkeys.com) have partnered with VS Center of Photography to feature photographs taken by students upon completion of a course (April or May 2010)
This means a great chance to be published in one of the independent webzine that shakes boundaries in Seoul

Secondly, BERLIN Lounge in Itaewon asked me to organize a group exhibition of students who would finish a course by the end of April or May 2010
It means that after one month learning all technical and creative aspects of photography, you will have an exhibition organized entirely by VS Center of Photography and BERLIN.

Berlin lounge kindly offered to give us their space to display your work for about 3 weeks, to offer catering for the opening night (wine, cheese and other delicious tapas).
VS Center of Photography will help you to select your best images, get them printed on Archive quality paper and framed at an art shop. We will also print invitation cards together to promote and announce this group exhibition in numerous English newspapers and magazines (Groove, 10 magazine, Eloquence, Seoul)

The only thing you have to do is SHOOT and SHOOT more during our classes and workshop(s).

Third good news; I have postponed the first class of April to next week. It means you still have time to register and pay tuition fee before Monday April 12th (extended period) to enjoy 20% discount (50,000 discount!) for any course you decide to take.

A course focusing mostly on digital DSLR, basic retouching (Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom) and its unlimited possibilities

choosing a camera model (DSLR, hybrid cameras), selecting the right lens, brand reviews, technical aspects: Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO

Tuesday April 20th

Formats, CCD, resolution, sensors, exploring different functions of film/digital cameras, exposure control, composition

Tuesday May 11th

lenses, filters, bracketing, color t°, color balance, advices for digital files and archives

Tuesday May 18th

Flash control, first and second curtain, overall review

Advanced techniques for digital photography

Create a web presence (Flickr, Facebook, Web Blogs, etc)

+ one intensive practice workshop on SATURDAY

(choose either Saturday April 17th / May 8th / May 15th, 2010 - from 2pm to 6:15pm)

All courses tuition fees: 250,000 won for 1 month full course (incl. one intensive workshop)

or option to pay /per class: 50,000 won / Workshop: 130,000~150,000 won/each
